These are some squirrel drawings that I did as an audition of sorts for a project with the Cartoon Network. I found out that although they weren't chosen, I was encouraged to submit art again for future projects, so that was pretty cool. I like how this little guy turned out! Looking forward to another warm day today!

I still love the little guy. If you dub him "Earl the Squirrel" from now on, he can join the other cleverly-named animal friends of Boon the Raccoon and Easel the Weasel: Cole the Mole, Claire the Bear, and Weaver the Beaver. At least, my brother constantly lobbied for that character's addition when I was painting that book! Ha! Maybe you and I can do the sequel!
I love the energy in the illustrations. You really get the feeling that he is not going to sit still for too long!
