Frog Prince

This reminds me a lot of a poster I designed for Heart Week in High School. I think I might still have one of the posters around here someplace... it is kind of funny. I'll try to post it sometime. The Loft Festival this past weekend was great! It wore me out, though. So much great information.... I didn't end up with a big headache like I usually do when I attend conferences, but I was pretty wiped out. I had two portfolio reviews that went pretty well; so I will keep on drawing and painting and growing as much as I can. Finished inking an illo for the book today, I will let it rest and start painting tomorrow. I should let myself rest, too, I almost fell asleep drawing this afternoon! Yikes!

Springtime

Dare we hope that spring might actually be here? I saw a few blades of grass today, that has to be a good sign! This is a bit of a new little project that I recently finished, my first attempt at adding color entirely in Photoshop. I actually sketched this butterfly at the Como Zoo last summer. Gearing up to start painting another illustration, and excited to be attending the Festival of Children's and Young Adult Literature & Illustration at The Loft Literary Center this weekend.
