I have been drawing houses all week, this one would scare off the big bad wolf for sure! I have a mile-long list of what I need to work on, it is just a matter of finding the time... Can't wait to start painting gifts for little Lucas and baby Kate, hope to start on them this weekend! Have a nice weekend, everyone!

Storyteller Idol
Storyteller Idol is going to be a feature at the Minnesota SCBWI fall conference in October 2008.
I was asked to come up with something for the MNSCBWI website, and I like how it turned out (despite the fact that I did not have a single wiener dog or rabbit to model for me!). Also, I received my first official rejection letter today.... special thanks to Christina for her encouragement! Onward and upward, and back to the drawing board....

Happy Monday!
Working on a little something new.... I'll paint tomorrow. I attended another CBIG meeting on Saturday- what a great bunch of people! I feel lucky to be part of the group. Not much else new to report, except that I can't believe that it was snowing again today. Oh, here's a big cheer for my friend, Jen, and her new minivan!!! It is way cool to be a mom!

Squirrels!!!
These are some squirrel drawings that I did as an audition of sorts for a project with the Cartoon Network. I found out that although they weren't chosen, I was encouraged to submit art again for future projects, so that was pretty cool. I like how this little guy turned out! Looking forward to another warm day today!

The Tooth Ferry
I am not exactly sure where this one came from... but it was fun to try to put a different spin on some of the old classics (wonder if it makes Mary Mary more contrary?). I sent some artwork off today to be a part of the CBIG website, so that is pretty exciting! Happy Daylight Savings Time, everyone!
