I determined this week that sketching a nearly-thirteen-year-old sleeping spaniel isn't that difficult. The three-year-old child is rarely in one place long enough to speak to, yet alone get on paper. The cat fell somewhere in between, and these were my favorite sketches.
Storyteller Idol is going to be a feature at the Minnesota SCBWI fall conference in October 2008.
Working on a little something new.... I'll paint tomorrow. I attended another CBIG meeting on Saturday- what a great bunch of people! I feel lucky to be part of the group. Not much else new to report, except that I can't believe that it was snowing again today. Oh, here's a big cheer for my friend, Jen, and her new minivan!!! It is way cool to be a mom!
These are some squirrel drawings that I did as an audition of sorts for a project with the Cartoon Network. I found out that although they weren't chosen, I was encouraged to submit art again for future projects, so that was pretty cool. I like how this little guy turned out! Looking forward to another warm day today!
I am not exactly sure where this one came from... but it was fun to try to put a different spin on some of the old classics (wonder if it makes Mary Mary more contrary?). I sent some artwork off today to be a part of the CBIG website, so that is pretty exciting! Happy Daylight Savings Time, everyone!
